Does SonicBoost guarantee "radio ready" results?
SonicBoost applies a professional mastering chain, but it can't fix a fundamentally poor mix or recording. Noisy, distorted, or unbalanced material will still reflect those issues — just more polished. The better your mix, the better your master.
What file formats and levels do you recommend?
Use WAV or high-bitrate MP3 (320 kbps). Leave −3 dB to −6 dB headroom on your mix bus and avoid heavy master-bus limiting before uploading. Let SonicBoost handle final loudness.
How does the one-time $4.99 download work?
Process a file for free, then pay $4.99 once to download that specific file in MP3 and WAV. No subscription needed. Each new file you process requires a new purchase unless you're on a Pro or Unlimited plan.
Why does my master sound different from other services?
Mastering is partly subjective. SonicBoost uses consistent, genre-aware processing. A human engineer or another service may make different creative choices. Different doesn't mean wrong — it reflects different decisions and targets.
How long are my files kept?
Completed masters are kept in your in-app history for up to 30 days. Unprocessed uploads older than a couple of hours are automatically removed. You can delete completed masters from the History screen at any time.
What is Ear Training and who is it for?
Ear Training gives you 5 daily challenges where you listen to two audio clips and identify what processing was applied — bass boost, treble cut, compression, or brightness. It trains the listening skills that make you a better mix engineer over time. Free users get Easy Mode; Pro and Unlimited unlock Hard Mode with subtler differences.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. Manage or cancel your subscription from Profile → Manage Subscription in the app. That opens the secure Stripe Billing Portal, where you can cancel, update payment details, or manage your plan. You keep access until the end of the current billing period.
Why don't I see SonicBoost under Google Play subscriptions?
SonicBoost uses Stripe for subscriptions and one-time downloads. On Android, Google Play may show an external-link disclosure before checkout, but Google Play does not manage the subscription and cannot cancel, pause, refund, or update it.
